The 100 Year History of the CSLA

CSLABulletin_19151201pg1On February 1, 2016, CSLA will publish a full-color, professionally designed book, The 100 Year History of the California School Library Association: Learning Through Books, Media and Technology. It will recount the history of the association, school librarianship, audio visual education and educational technology in California. It will be distributed free to all CSLA members, California legislators and state office holders, as well as state and national library associations.

Both CSLA and the California Teachers Association have invested generously in the book’s creation. CSLA now seeks support from library-related businesses, education associations and individuals. Contributors will be acknowledged prominently in the book. In addition, they will be recognized in the CSLA Journal and Website. Contributors will also qualify as a Sustaining Members of CSLA, as members of the California School Library Foundation, and be entitled to place free ads in the CSLA Journal.
